Amateur Status
If you wish to retain your amateur status during any IGTGolf Tour Event, you will be paid in Gift Vouchers up to R4500 and remain an Amateur.
The IGTGolf Tour welcomes amateur golfers to play in all events.
An Amateur Golfer…….as defined by the USGA and R&A is “one who plays the game as a non-remunerative or non-profit-making sport”. Participation in events that reward players with cash (or its equivalent) is allowable; however, prior to your participation you must irrevocably waive your right to accept any prize money. Failure to do so can result in the forfeiture of your amateur status and your eligibility to enter competitions limited to amateurs. (USGA and R&A Rules of Amateur Status, Rule 1-2: Playing for Prize Money)
Amateur golfers may still receive 100% of all optional game payouts (SKINS & DEUCES).
All amateur golfers must sign a waiver form before each event. Download amateur waiver form. Waiver form
All amateur golfers winning a gift voucher must complete an IGT gift voucher claim form and can be claimed at any business you so wish e.g. Pick&Pay, Golfers Club, Edgars, etc.
Please note! This is not IGTGolf Vouchers, you decide where you want your voucher!
