2010 Race to Q-School
The economics of professional golf are very harsh. Almost every player without major tour status will need to be subsidized to continue chasing the dream!!
So you want to make a career playing golf, but you don't know where to start. IGTGolf Mini Tour is designed to help aspiring golfers, like yourself, start playing professional golf. Everyone has to start somewhere, and very few of us can go right to the PGA Tour or the LPGA Tour. Most golfers start in the mini tours.
You now can play tournament golf from March through to December on the IGTGolf Race to Q-School to prepare yourself for Tour School. The winner will receive his entry fee paid for tour school. All Race to Q-School events will also carry prize money or vouchers for amateurs.

Race to Q-School Start
The Race to Q-School starts on 15 March with a 54 hole event to be played at Observatory. IGT Race to Q-school will have 54 hole events every month from March to December 2010. The final will be played in December over 72 holes. Venue to be finalised.
Do I have to enter Race to Q-School?
No you don’t have to enter into the race to Q-School. You can enter and play in these events but you will not be eligible to win the grand prize money for race to Q-School. You can however win the prize money for the 3 day events and gain experience.
How to Win the Race to Q-School
To WIN the IGT Race to Q-School players will receive Race to Q-School points on their position at each event played. To prevent a player from accumulating a distorted number of points due to the number of tournaments played, the associated costs incurred, and recognizing the need for scheduling breaks to avoid burnout; the total points recorded will count a maximum of 4 events in which the player earns the most points. The final event over 72 holes will carry double points. The top 5 and tied on the Race to Q-School points system will win.
