2010 IGT Match Play Challenge IGTGolf are proud to announce, the offer to all golfers of an exciting challenge to enter the IGT 2010 Match Play Challenge. The IGT 2010 Match Play Challenge is an individual knockout contested on a regional basis. The first round and preliminary rounds are played over 18 holes throughout 2010. The draw for the competition will be made towards the beginning of February and the competitions themselves will run from mid-February until December. Depending upon the number of participants, there will be 8 rounds if you continue winning. The winner of this tournament can proudly call himself or herself the IGT 2010 Match Play Champion. It is a singles match play competition, so it is based upon holes won rather than strokes taken. It is a handicap competition so everybody has a chance! With a load of luck, long straight and narrow shots, and more than a few good bounces, the 2010 winner of the coveted IGT Singles Match play Championship will win an estimate *R40,000 (*Based on number of entries) Prize money paid out to the top 4. The top 6 players will receive a bye for rounds one and two. The top 7 to 12 will receive a bye for round 1. If you want to play in the 2010 match play challenge, please enter your details below. Entry Fee The entry fee for the 2010 IGT Match Play Challenge is R400 Rules: 2010 IGT Match Play Challenge 1. All participants will play of their IGTGolf Tour Handicap. The highest permissible handicap index is 18 for men and 24 for women. 2. The draw for all matches for the first round will be made by the IGT 2010 Match Play Committee. All other matches from round 2 will be according to the draw sheet. 3. Players will be notified by IGT of who plays who and the deadline period. Both players must agree on a date to play their match and notify IGT accordingly. 4. All matches must be played on current IGT tour events as published on our web. 5. If the match could not be played by the deadline (including the two-week period of grace), then the individual that goes through to the next round will be determined by the IGTGolf 2010 Match Play Committee. 6. If a match is all square after eighteen holes, then it’s decided on a sudden death basis until a winner is determined starting on hole 1. 7. Rules of play are based on the rules approved by the Royal Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and the United States Golf Association (USGA). 8. All protests concerning rule interpretations during a match must be submitted in writing to the match play organizers within 15 minutes following the match in question by the player. All decisions by the match play organizers in conjunction with the IGT 2010 Match Play Rules Committee will be final. 9. For each round, there will be a two-week grace period beyond the deadline of each scheduled match play round. This deadline must simply be kept so not delay following matches and to ensure the final rounds are played in favourable weather conditions. 10. No refunds will be given on entry fees. 11.
